9月24日下午，我校土建学院58级校友、香港校友会永远名誉会长、香港百莱玛有限公司董事长蔡鸿能捐赠1000万元设立“中南大学蔡田碹珠奖励基金”，捐赠仪式在香港京港学术交流中心举行。校领导郭乃正，校友总会办公室主任欧阳文风，香港校友会永远名誉会长谭国华、名誉会长李相夫、会长匡增意、常务副会长余斯鸿等出席了签字仪式。仪式由教育基金会秘书长、办公室主任张忠生主持。

首先，香港百莱玛有限公司董事长蔡鸿能表达了在母校设立奖励基金的心愿，他说，“我不是富豪，更不是超级富豪，只是一名过着小康生活的平凡人”，作为校友，走得再远，飞得再高，始终都在惦记着母校的发展，都想为母校的发展尽微薄之力。

随后，香港校友会名誉会长李相夫、会长匡增意等相继发言说，今天蔡会长的梦想通过这种方式得以实现，这种精神值得我们非常敬重和钦佩。

然后，郭乃正副书记代表学校对蔡鸿能校友表示由衷地敬意和感谢，同时也说，今天举行的仪式虽简朴，但意义非常重大，学校一定管理好和使用好资金，通过奖励基金鼓励在校教师、学生在科学研究创新创业中取得更多的成果，来回报社会和广大校友。

最后，在热烈掌声中，郭乃正副书记和香港百莱玛有限公司董事长蔡鸿能共同签署了“中南大学蔡田碹珠奖励基金捐赠协议”，并合影留念。
